Dear loyal followers,
Starting June 1, my model plays will be a paid premium service. This was a difficult decision to make, but I believe this is best not only for me, but also for you. Before you write me off, unfollow and unsubscribe, please allow me to explain why I am doing this and how it will benefit both of us.
The most common question/complaint for this business is: If you're picks are so good, why do you have to charge for them? Shouldn't you be making plenty of money by betting on your own? This is a loaded question, but I'll attempt to answer it.
First, yes, I do make good money investing in my picks and create some extra income from them. However, being a consistent winner with the bet sizes necessary to do this full-time would catch the attention of most sportsbooks. They have a habit of lowering bet limits for their successful customers, as short-sited as that is.
Secondly, I put a ton of work into this. I spend countless hours developing my models, experimenting with different algorithms and statistics, and back-testing over previous seasons. Additionally, I work several hours each day updating my model, researching picks, and looking for new edges we can take advantage of. This doesn't include the time I use managing the website, writing new articles, and answering reader questions. I value my time, and I treat this as a profession.
To maintain and improve the quality of my site and the success of my picks, this added revenue will be very helpful to support the costs of running my website and models. I do make money from my sports investing, but that obviously goes through peaks and valleys. This helps smooth that out.
Most importantly though, I will provide an incredible value to anyone that subscribes. Even if you are just a $20/game bettor, the subscriptions pays for itself almost every month. I believe asking for a very small percentage of that is more than fair for all the work I put in. Plenty of touts that sell picks charge hundreds of dollars per month, some even charge $100+ for a weekend, while providing a low-quality service with little or no transparency. I will charge a fraction of this and strive to offer the highest quality in everything I do, to be as transparent as possible, and to provide the best value you can find.
Now, how does this benefit you? For starters, I believe I already offer a high-quality product with my winning picks accompanied by a useful blog, new research, multiple communication streams, and a newsletter. By having a paid service, I will not only be able to invest more money into everything, but also more time; which will greatly increase the quality of my work. I intend to make Fast Break Bets bigger and better in the near future, which means more winning picks - and thus more profits for everyone.
Furthermore, being paid for my work will just motivate me even more. You will be relying on me to deliver great results, and I will work my butt off to do that.
If you're not convinced, I understand. Many people give this business a bad reputation, but I'm here to change that. I'm not trying to make a fortune either - I just want to do what I love, share my passion and be able to help others in the process.
